Testimonials
I have been going to Pilates and HIIT with Rachel for 5 years now, and have honestly found significant changes to my shape, muscle tone and flexibility. Some of the exercises you think are impossible and you’ll never do, but then within a few short weeks you’ve achieved the positions and already moving on to the next advancement. The Pilates classes have a really friendly atmosphere, and the mixed abilities mean you can really push yourself, or just have a more relaxing time knowing that you’re stretching and strengthening your back. The core work has really helped with my running, cycling and swimming and is proven to reduce sporting injuries. Rachel is very attentive, knowledgeable and great fun, and I would recommend her classes to anyone!
Rachel is always welcoming, the class is always friendly & you never feel intimidated, as sometimes in a large class. Rachel lets you exercise at your own pace, will always help you to improve when you’re ready & always focuses on your wellbeing.
I love the classes at Studio 52. I do Pilates, Body Con, and HIIT. Rachel keeps them entertaining, challenging, inclusive, and fun! I’ve been to many different classes over many years ( I’m 70 now) and this is definitely the best. Rachel caters for all ages and abilities and makes everyone welcome.
I highly recommend Studio 52. I’ve been coming for since August 2016 and have been doing two classes: Pilates and Body Conditioning. The transformation in how I feel and the way my body is toning is exactly what I was looking for! I’ve tried various classes over the years, sometimes I was just paying to watch someone do the session themselves! I expect to be taught, especially as some moves could damage you if you don’t do it right and this is exactly what you get with Rachel. She is always watching what you are doing and will always come round to help and give you that little bit more incentive to push yourself a bit further. It doesn’t matter what level you are when you arrive, she will show you different options for each move so you can slowly build yourself up over the weeks. She also welcomes questions, which I seem to have an abundance of! But this helps everyone in the class so don’t be afraid to ask questions as this will only improve your skills. The studio has a lovely friendly atmosphere with no more than 8 in a class, it is relaxed and fun and also works your body to it limits if you push yourself. I love it and look forward to my classes every week as I know I will come out with a smile on my face.
Here’s where Studio 52 comes in. Rachel runs small classes for people of all ages. She gives us personal attention depending on our individual needs and problem areas (e.g. my lower back). Her exercises are well planned, to great music and we have a laugh whilst working hard. I go to 3 classes per week: Pilates which is low impact but effective for strengthening and tone; HIIT – which is really tough but it’s only 30 mins and I feel great after! and then Body Conditioning which unleashes the diva in me! It’s dance/exercise routines which works all areas of the body.
Those extra few pounds have shifted and I feel better, fitter & happy with my lifestyle change.
Studio 52 & Rachel have made exercising effective, fun & sustainable.
I have never been a gym bunny! But my age and medical history prompted me to resume exercise so finding Rachel at Studio 52 in 2018 is one of the best things I have ever done – I can’t believe I have come so far. HIIT, Body Conditioning and Pilates plus new friends. Fabulous classes with music to enjoy, Rachel encourages everyone to their own pace and there is no pressure to ‘compete’. The small classes means Rachel can monitor everyone’s technique and individualises the varied routines to the mixed abilities and ages. Her care and enthusiasm are inspiring and I have never felt fitter.
